At 18, you are no longer considered a child for child support purposes unless you have not graduated high school or are disabled. If the child is 18 and out of high school, you must contact the Texas AG to stop child support.
still has to receive until 18
every child from the age of about five to the age of about 18
At 18 a child is an adult and can live where they want. You can run into issues with school jurisdictions if the child is still in school. Be sure you check the rules with the office at your school before you make a move.
18 or you can upgrade them and make them go to boarding school if you want them to go to college sooner
What i would do is since you pay child support and the child is 18 yearsl old and may or may not be graduating, what i would do is go to the circuit clerks office in your state and file motion to have child suppoer stoped.you can all so go to the school the 18 year old child attends and ask the school to see that child's records.since you pay child support you should have the rights to the 18 year olds school records for information and sometimes if a child is 18 years old and is still in school the only way you would or maybe could have to pay chlld support at age 18 years old would be if that 18 year old is making passing grades in a college.I live in West Virginia and we pay child support to 17/an a half year old and we just fount out this 17/1/2 year old has droped out of school and still in the 9th grade.so we are going to the circuit clerks office to have chlld support stoped because this kid is passing and has droped out of school and the kid will be 18 years old in just 2 months.hope this helps u out some. night_movess1995@yahoo.com
Unless she becomes emancipated, yes you will owe support at least to age 18-21, depending on your state laws. Most states are 18, but NY and Mississippi are age 21. If she goes to secondary school before turning age 18, in Missouri, it will go to age 23. In Washington, you will also be required to pay for the college education. see link
In Oregon, child support is usually required up to the age of 18. However, it is possible to get a rebuttal if the child is under 18 and isn't attending school or making satisfactory progress towards graduation. Call your local Department of Human Services, child support division, and discuss the issue with them
after turning 18 you can register to vote and receive a card in the post you then go to a poling station (normally your local school) and vote. You can also vote by post.
It usually stops at 18 but depends on what state you live in and what the child support order says, the separation agreement and your state laws. If your child is in school it can usually be extended. Changes to the child support as well as termination of it must go through the court that issued the order.
only if its in the divorce settlement. and if the child is out of school
I think you stop paying at 18 maybe 21 not to sure
