Hardly. Teaching has two other aspects that a diploma does not hold -- teaching skills and work experience. Can you relate to other people? Do you command attention in a large audience? Do you have education itself as an intrinsic reward? Is your knowledge confined to books? Do you teach students skills that they can bring to society? Can you deal with helicopter parents, misbehaving students, non-cooperative colleagues, or demanding school boards and educators?
