Your job rarely changes your pay in the Army. Its your rank/grade that changes your pay. A Specialist engineer will make more than a Private engineer. You can look up the pay grades e-1 through e-9, if you just google military pay chart. The o-1 through 0-9 are officers pays and w- are for warrant officer pays.
It is worth getting a degree as an electric engineer anywhere in the world. Electrical engineer is great degree that pays pretty good money. The work is not physical too.
