No, not always. it can be more or less....or none
Yes they can. It depends on the hen and if she is getting everything she needs. I have plenty of hens but don't normally have one lay more then once a day.
A hen will lay a maximum of one egg per day.
an egg a day
No, the maximum is one day because the minimum time it takes for a hen to create an egg is 14 hours.
No, it does not hurt a hen to lay an egg.
1-2 eggs only.
This implies a hen and a half would lay 3 eggs in 3 days. Therefore 3 hens would lays 6 eggs in 3 days. So one hen would lay 2 eggs in 3 days. Or one egg every day and a half.
1-2-maybe3
I factory's they kill the chicken at about 2 years of age. At that age the hen will start to slow down in laying. They stop around the age of 3 though they will still lay every once in a while
You can't, but you can get them to lay faster then their natural cycle by leaving the lights on 24 hrs, a day.
Usually one egg per day, very occasionally two, though in winter only one every few days is normal and sometimes they go off the lay for a couple of months.
The hen will continue to lay fertilized eggs for up to 10 days after the last mating.
