What are the 4 forces involved in making a hot air balloon move?

Gravity (weight), Thrust,, Air Resistance (drag), and Lift.

How hot and cold temperature affect air balloon?

When the balloon is hot the density of the air in it decreases and hence the upward thrust on the balloon increases and the balloon moves up and viceversa.

How drag and thrust can be equal?

The thrust is the force moving something forward. The drag is air resistance applying force in the other direction. Drag will increase when an object moves faster because it will hit more molecules (of air, water, whatever) per second. If you apply constant thrust (force) to an object in air (for example an airplane) it will accelerate until the drag is equal to the thrust at which point it stops accelerating but keeps going at the same speed.

What is thrust for an airplane?

Thrust is the produced force of the aircraft that propels the aircraft forward in order to overcome drag. Drag is the natural force of the air that resists the motion of the aircraft.

What is weight of hot air balloon?

a hot air balloon virtually weighs negative lbs but it would depend on how hot the air is in the balloon.

How does a plane move through the air?

By overcoming gravity with lift and drag with thrust.

What is the thrust of an air hot balloon?

Mainly livestock, such as cows or sheep. ~Courtney Chavez

What are the four forces that affect an airplane's ability to fly?

It is thrust, lift, drag and weightthat affect an aircraft's ability to fly. It is thrust that moves the aircraft forward through the air. The thrust overcomes drag and provides (with the wings) lift to overcome weight.

What is drag for an airplane?

Drag is a force that acts opposite to the direction of movement of an airplane. Drag is mainly caused by air. The other forces that act on the plane while moving in the air are thrust, lift etc..

What force opposes drag and is created through combustion between fuel and air?

Thrust - Apex

What are the 4 forces on an aircraft?

The 4 main forces of flight are: drag, thrust, lift and weight

What stops an airplane when it lands?

Air drag, Rolling resistance, thrust reversing Engines, and wheel brakes
