Most mobile chargers aren't really chargers, but rather a power source. The electronics that monitors the charging and stops it when the battery is full is all in the cell phone. IF you hook the cell "charger" straight up to a battery you run the risk of disastrous overcharging.
By getting a usb point for your mobile phone!

Most electronics will consume a little power even if they are off or not in use. In the case of a cell phone charger, you may notice that if it is plugged into the wall, but there is no cell phone charging, the charger will still be warm. I don't know the physics behind that, but anything that is plugged in will take up a little energy, even when not in use.
I wouldnt recommend it. You never know wht could happen to your phone using a cheap charger or a charger that matches all phones the best bet is ordering one from apple.
Use a charger.
You can - but it will take longer for the phone to charge.

Headphones do not use batteries, they use a power source such as an iPod or mobile phone.
Yes it does to have power readily available whenever you plug in you device to it so that it immediately starts to charge
