No, but the spent fuel must be carefully stored after use because it does contain dangerous radioactivity.
No. Construction equipment used to build the station will burn fossil fuels and produce some pollution. When the station is complete it will produce pollution free electricity. The station will require some electric power from the grid to operate, and some of that electricity may be produced by coal powered plants which do produce pollution, but the geothermal power station will not produce pollution.
Far less than fossil fuels. The amount of nuclear fuel required to make a certain amount of energy is tiny compared to fossil fuels, and therefore produces far less pollution. Most of the pollution is from mining the nuclear fuel, the only pollution from burning the fuel is "heat pollution", where the cooling towers dump waste heat into a lake or ocean and the temperature changes the ecosystem.
I'm not in the business of writing such leaflets, but you can get a lot of info from this website: www.world-nuclear.org
the pollution that factory make s is air pollution
as electricity. If hydrogen fuel cell cars make it may be delivered at your filling station as liquid hydrogen.
Depends on what kind of power station it is, can bea nuclear power plant, a coal-burning power plant, a wind turbine, or a hydroelectric power station.
In a nuclear reactor, nuclear energy is converted to thermal energy. The thermal energy is used to heat water to make steam which can be used to spin turbines. The turbines spin electrical generators. A lot of electric power comes from nuclear power plants.
BOTH because;air pollution- can get into your lungs and make it hard for you to breath.can do some serious damage to your brain, and your brain cells.people can die because of Toxic smoke of explosions etc...water pollution- can make fishes diecan make the water dirtycan cause the waste to spreadif the waste is spread then no more fresh water.can make fishes go extinctcan make people die because of Nuclear power plantsbirth defects, by Toxic waste dumppeople can die because of Toxic smoke from exlosionToxic waste dump can injure people or even Kill themanother userwell, air pollution is the causes 1/3 of toxic contaminants in the ocean, so air pollution is pretty badwater pollution is almost as bad as air pollution because it can kill fish and we wont have any to eat, and water pollution can get into our drinking waterso I say that they both are pretty bad
Inputs of a power station is the air inside it produced. :) But seriously: The input to a power station is the source of energy use to make electricity. This can be water, oil, gas, coal, nuclear. In less conventional terms, wind turbines and tidal schemes are 'power stations'.
well it does but not that bad as when you make paper because to make paper that causes air pollution and water pollution.
The Peoples Republic of China has three main sources for its electricity. They are: 1. fossil fuels ( allot of air pollution ); 2. hydroelectric power; and 3. nuclear power.
A nuclear power plant is essentially a high tech steam turbine. The core is made up of nuclear pellets in a formation where they release neutrons, striking each other and make a fission reaction. This heats up the water, generating steam. The steam then is used to power the steam turbine. The steam (or hot gaseous H20 molecules striking each other) contains the kinetic energy. So YES
