No it is different ipad has micro sim iphone does not and you have to activate it on the one you bought it with.
I have an ipad 3g and it has a Sim card, i don't know if it is a micro sim, it looks just like the Sim cardd in an iphone. There are two kinds of ipad and the ipad 3g does have one and the ipad wifi does not.
Only the iPad Wifi + 3G Model needs a Sim.
All New iPads (they're NOT called the iPad 3) are sold as a 4G LTE or Wi-Fi model. The 4G model will automatically work with 3G networks. You will need a SIM card from your local mobile phone provider, and will have to sign up for a data plan. If you don't have a 4G LTE iPad, you have a Wi-Fi model, and that won't work with 3G, unless you tether it to your phone.
Yes. That is where the 3G account and provider information is stored. Micro sim is for ipad or mobile?
I am using my Iphone 4 in Colombia with an altered sim card. The guy cut a sim card down and filed it into a micro sim. It works perfectly. I am on Tigo. The same thing should work for the Ipad. Same technology. I will admit the 3g seems very slow. The cost of the filed sim card about is $5.00 U.S. IP
Ipad or Ipad WIFI can access WiFi network ( like Ipod touch) where as IPad 3g has SIM card slot and can access internet where WiFi networks are not available ( you require Data Plan from AT&T in US) for Ipad 3G if you want to access internet where WiFi network is not available. What happens if you cancel the monthly payment on the Ipad 3g, does it still work?
Yes it is just like a phone. :)
it means 3rd generation wifi. It is paid for to the provider. Instead of regular wifi it's 3rd generation. as is 4g( 4th generation wifi)Acturaly, 3G stands for third generation of mobile telecommunications technolog. You have to pay for the 3G use for the phone company.Ipad with 3g means you can buy a sim card from phone company, insert the SIM card into your iPad, pay for the 3g network fee and get your data plan. Then you can access to internet with 3g network. For wifi- only editon iPad, there is no place to insert a 3g sim card.
No.
If you have a 3G iPad, you will need a SIM card in every country. Wi-Fi only iPads don't have a sim card slot.
If you want a 3G SIM card to work, you will have to get a contract with some mobile provider. You can choose from many different providers, but you will have to pay them for a data plan.
iPhones need a SIM card to work as a phone. If you don't have a SIM card you can use it as an iTouch.
