(flavour) Certain flowers, such as roses, also benefit from specific hormones- available in commercial flower foods such as "rose pro", or the flora-life equivalent "rose food". Other flowers, such as Gerberas benefit from additional chorine bleach to help them absorb water and nutrients for a longer amount of time from the vase.
