Then, tuck the ends under the bun while holding the bun with one hand. Pin the bun down on top, bottom, and both sides. If you want the hair to stay tight to your scalp all over, make sure the pony tail is held very tightly against the scalp. To make a puffier hairdo, do not make the pony tail tight to the scalp.
Both methods will produce a bun hairdo, but it's just as easy to leave out the sock and use your own hair to twist and wrap into a bun.
