A subscription is tied to a radio unit. If the radio is permanently installed in the car, then yes, it covers just that one vehicle.
As a subscriber you can choose channels from both Sirius and XM or opt to only receive channels from one format. The merger has forced the company to offer options that do not hinder customers choices and preferences.
I have sirius satellite radio and I only get NFL so if you're looking to listen to NFL on the radio I would buy Sirius.
You can only "get" XM radio on your "home radio" if you have a XM tuner and a paid subscription. The XM radio service is service satellite based and does not utilize the same system as FM or AM radio in your local area. You must have an XM receiver and an appropriate antenna in order to receive XM radio. There are a few "home radios" that contain an XM tuner and in those cases with a paid subscription, you could listen to XM radio in your home.
no. The satelites only orbit the continental u.u
I honestly was not sure of the answer to this question so I have done some research for you. I have found that unfortunately Sirius satellite radio does not work in Europe as Sirius does not have coverage in that area. I believe in Europe you can get satellite radio from a company called Worldspace.
You can get the Sirius/XM app but Howard Stern is not available. I use the pocket tunes app and I get ALL Sirius channels. It costs $9.99 but it's a one-time fee and it even works on the edge network.
There are many different packages that Sirius offers, similar to cable or satellite companies offer different programming packages. The most popular packages are around fifteen dollars per month, but there are packages that include more channels or specialize in a variety of specific programming that have various costs. The option to add channels a la carte is also available, and the price is entirely dependent upon the consumer.
It is not real. Sirius is a two-star system containing only Sirius A and Sirius B.
Pretty much. Sirius and XM used to be competing services.. now, they're one.
No, they do not which is pretty unfortunate because I was looking for the same thing...1. What is SIRIUS? SIRIUS is a service offering over 130 channels of satellite radio featuring digital-quality music, sports, news and entertainment programming when and where you want it. We use three satellites to broadcast over 130 channels of satellite radio to listeners throughout the continental US and Canada.
You cannot get both the GPS and Sirius Satallite radio options from the factory. Both of these need to use the extra input in the stereo to work and you can only have one or the other. Other options that also require this input (and thus are exclusive of the others) are the iPod adapter and the aux input.
I'm only one person, volunteering to answer questions on this website and get nothing in return. This answer is just my opinion. My feeling is that they would thank you for contacting them, and then tell you to get lost in a very nice way. But I could be wrong. You should certainly try it. Be sure to tell them how much Sirius radio means to you, and how, even now, when you have to cut down on extras, Sirius radio is one of the things in your life that you don't want to be forced to give up. If they offer a reduced "teaser" rate for new subscribers, ask if they'll give you the new-subscriber rate for the normal introductory period, on the promise that you'll return to the regular rate after that. Even if they don't have a reduced rate for new subscribers, ask for one for a definite time period, like 3 months or 6 months, also on the promise that you won't cancel, but you'll resume at the regular rate at the end of that period. Good luck. I hope my gut feel is wrong. Now quit surfin and go find work.
