my son has this and yes if untreated you should cover anytime you are around people. This is spread form skin to skin contact, also by sharing towels and other personal hygiene things. Even if it is treated i would cover it when you around people. For my son who is 3, i cover when he is in daycare and let the virus breath in the evening when he is home. My son is undergoing the liquid nitrogen treatment every 3 weeks and since this is the first treatment i have not seen a difference but after a day he was back to his old self so its very painful be can be tolerated.
