NO - answered my own question!
Guides are lines that help you align and position objects, they are not printable.
Hi, In the top menu go to : View > Show > Grid Or press: CTRL+' to turn it off
CorelDRAW is a vector drawing illustration application, while Photoshop is a raster (or bitmap) image editing and painting application. Vector drawing uses mathematical equations (inside the program, the user doesn't have to worry about the math) to define the lines, curves, angles, etc. of a line drawing or collage style image. Raster or Bitmap images define the color properties of each individual pixel of an image, for pictures more like paintings or photographs. Vector drawings can be less "realistic" looking and more illustrative. Vector drawing is ideal for line drawings, logos, diagrams, plans, charts, maps, and so on. Due to their mathematical properties, vector drawings also scale without loss or distortion, while bitmap images become distorted (pixelated, jaggy) if they are enlarged or reduced (much).
There are two fundamentally different types of graphics image - Vector images and Bitmap images. Vector images are made up of lines, polygons etc. Bitmap images are made up of pixels of color. The type of package used depends on the type of image you're trying to work with. Whilst there is some overlap between the two, ie you can create some vector artwork in photoshop and you can do some minimal bitmap work in illustrator, in essence illustrator is a vector graphics package where you draw your image with lines etc. Photoshop is a fully featured bitmap editing package
any program with a grid or with adjustable grid and guide lines can be used to produce a layout - layouts are laid out on a grid system - simply learn to use the guides and grids of your program - all layout, painting and drawing programs can be used and even most word processing programs can be used to make a good layout you need to study layout design first - once you know how to design than using the various programs is easy - learn the grids/guides and how to work with objects, images and text in the program
Marching ants in photshop are thos flashing lines which are there to make selections
It is difficult to use for a beginner as there are more lines involved
Illustrator is a vector based program. Photoshop is well... for photos mainly. I've used both hand in hand to create awesome graphics utilizing the 3D capabilities in Illustrator. Vector graphics are basically line drawings that can be used at any size without distorting resolution as would happen in Photoshop.
Adobe InDesign and Photoshop are 2 different programs.Photoshop is used for photo editing and is almost entirely raster based (uses dots) to generate images. InDesign has little to no photo editing capabilities and is used primarily for layout and is very vector based (uses lines) to generate images. The advantage of Photoshop is you can apply an almost infinite combination of effects to create artwork from the ground up. But for layout purposes, you do not have multipage capabilities and once again, it is raster-based, so your text will not print clearly.InDesign is capable of delivering clear text to print, has multipage capabilities, is trimmed down and streamlined to work with large documents and is the final step before going to print. So for small art components, use Photoshop, then once you're ready to make the final layout, drop everything into InDesign for positioning and layout.
You cant, probably best workaround is a new layer and draw lines physicly above the guild lines...
What Are Lines in Design?Lines are a basic element of design. They add to the style of a design and can enhance the comprehension and readability of a design. Lines can be used as a border around elements or a divider between elements.
It is made from adobe bricks from the original lines.
