No everything is layered in density, water is much more dense than air. The whole planet is organized based on density with the core being the most dense and the exosphere being the least dense.

No. Since ice floats on water, ice is less dense than water. If air was denser than air, all the air would sink to the bottom of the sea.

Thankfully air is less dense than water!

Yes air is less denser that water in liquid form. But air is more denser to water vapour ie water in gas form.

Why is air more buoyant than water?

Air is more buoyant than water because air is less dense than water, and everything the thing that is less dense is always more buoyant than what is more dense than it.

What are three substances that have a lower density then water?

Ice Air is less dense than water, so water sinks below air. A rock is more dense than water, so it sinks in water and air. And helium, which is less dense than air, rises in air and in water.

If the volume of air is less then the less dense or more dense the air is?

its has more pressure

Bubbles rise in water because they a. are so tiny b. less dense than water c. more dense than water d. fluids?

less dense than the liquid they are in. Water is more dense than air, therefore water is below air. This explains why the oceans aren't in the sky.

Is ammonia more dense or less dense than air?

Yes ammonia is less dense than air

How does liquid affect the height of which some objects float or sink?

Floating and sinking is related to density - if something is more dense (i.e. has more mass per volume) than the fluid it will sink, and if it is less dense then it will float. This is why wood floats in water, and helium balloons float in air - helium is less dense than air and wood is less dense than water. Steel ships float because, although they are made of steel which is more dense than water, the air inside them is less dense than water so the overall effect is floating.

Is warm air less dense than cold air and moist air is more dense than dry air?

Warm air is less dense then cold air. But moist air is actually less dense than dry air because water vapor has a lower molecular weight than the oxygen and nitrogen that make up most of the atmosphere.

What will less dense air do in a relation to more dense air?

if two fluids of different density meet the less dense one will rise over the more dense one.

Is cool air less dense?

No it is more dense than hot air

What is more dense water or bubbles?

Water because wter is more dense then air and air is in bubbles

Statement correctly describes how the density and temperature of air are related?

Lower temperature air is more dense.

Which is more dense air saturated with water vapor or air unsaturated with water vapor?

Saturated air is more dense.
