No dog have that mechanism.
NO..... NO DOG OF ANY BREED HAS LOCK JAW !!!! That is a myth ! (Not even the pit bull).....
No dog has a locking jaw. Their jaw may be powerful but NO breed can lock it's jaw. (Not even a pit bull or other bully breed)
A Pitt-bull would win because it has lock jaw. well Pitt-bulls, when they bite, their jaws lock and the only way to get them to stop biting is either to break their jaw or make it where their jaw closes and releases the lock jaw. look up Pitt-bulls on google. but also that is why the Pitt-bull is so dangerous.
I have three Staffies, and they can get lock jaw, yes.
Well bred Pitt Bulls and a good owner makes for a good Pit Bull. However, some people will mistreat a Pitt Bull to get it to fight or attack and yes, a Pitt Bull can take down an individual and will refuse to release their teeth from the victim. The jaw strength of a Pitt Bull is massive and police officers in some cases have had no choice, but to shoot the Pitt Bull.
Yes, with their lock jaw and musclar body, bull terriers are a strong breed.
That is a myth. Opening the jaws of a pit-bull with a wooden pry bar, will take some strength but no mechanism to lock the jaw doesn't exists. All dogs have the same kind of jaws but the thing is the pit-bull is the only breed who could hang by the jaw for minutes because is more strong that any other breed.

lock jaw is a myth and what you are saying is that they can take lots of pain while it holds on and the bull dog (holds onto to bull and wont let go even though it smashes to the floor) this is where it comes from and the Japanese akita isn't part bull dog so no it doesn't
”lock jaw” is a medical condition to where the dogs mouth gets stuck when opening wide.
No, no dog does. There is no "locking mechanism" in any dog. Ever.
No dog has the ability to lock their jaw when biting. “Lock jaw” is a medical condition where ANY dogs mouth can lock when opening wide. It is not breed specific.
