Yes and no. Ammonia only weakly dissociates in water

[NH4+][OH-]/[NH3] = 10^-5 = Kb

Thus, even at an [OH-] of 10^-2 (from the pH of strong ammonia solutions) only 1 molecule in 1000 is dissociated into true ammonium hydroxide.

It would take an acid with a acid dissociation const >=10^-5 to form a stable salt with ammonia, that was mainly that salt. Although water-baseed solutions of ammonia are called ammonium hydroxide, water is not a strong enough acid to form more than a microscopic amount of ammonium hydroxide when in contact with ammonia.

The Ka of water is [OH-][H+]/[H2O] = 10^-16

The Ka of hydrogen peroxide is [OOH-][H+] = 10^-11.75 a little better than water but not enough to give more than a microscopic amount of (NH4+)(OOH-) in solution.

So yes, it does exist, but no you cannot have a pure sample of (NH4)(OOH).

Is ammonium peroxide a hydrocarbon?

No, ammonium peroxide is not a hydrocarbon. It is a chemical compound containing the elements nitrogen, hydrogen, and oxygen, but it does not contain carbon.

Ammonium bicarbonate as an activator in bleach cream?

Ammonium bicarbonate is not typically used as an activator in bleach cream. Activators in bleach creams are typically hydrogen peroxide or other peroxide compounds that help to activate the bleaching process. Ammonium bicarbonate is more commonly used in baking applications or as a leavening agent.

What is molar mass for ammonium peroxide?

(NH4)2O2 molar mass = 2*14+2*4+2*16 = 28+8+32 = 36+32 = 110 according to physics : weight = mass * gravity so, molar mass = 110/10 = 11

Is ammonium a chemical?

Not in its own right. Ammonium is a polyatomic ion with the formula NH4+ Because it is charge it does not exist on its own as a chemical substance but as a component of ammonium compounds such as ammonium perchlorate (NH4ClO4), and ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3). However, ammonia (NH3) is a chemical substance.

What state of matter is ammonium?

Ammonium can exist in different states of matter depending on its form. Solid ammonium compounds are typically found as salts, while liquid forms can be observed when dissolved in water as ammonium ions. Ammonium gas can also be formed under specific conditions.

What happens when ammonia and hydrogen peroxide react with each other?

When ammonia and hydrogen peroxide react, they form a compound called ammonium hydroxide and water. This reaction releases heat and can produce oxygen gas as a byproduct.

Is ammonia reacts with oxygen to form ammonium oxide?

No, ammonia does not react with oxygen to form ammonium oxide. Ammonia is a compound composed of nitrogen and hydrogen (NH3), while ammonium oxide does not exist as a stable compound.

What happens when you mix hydrogen peroxide with ammonium nitrate?

Mixing hydrogen peroxide with ammonium nitrate can cause a rapid chemical reaction, producing nitrogen gas, water, and oxygen as byproducts. This reaction is exothermic, meaning it releases heat and can potentially lead to an explosion if not properly contained. It is extremely dangerous and should never be attempted.
