No, the more water vapor the air contains, the lighter it is. When water vapor enters the atmosphere, it pushes out an equal volume of dry air. A cubic meter of dry air is 99 percent nitrogen and oxygen. A cubic meter of humid air with 2 percent water vapor is only 97 percent nitrogen and oxygen. Water vapor is lighter than the nitrogen and oxygen it pushed out. Therefore, humid air weighs less than dry air and exerts less pressure.

If you go higher than the clouds, yes. But clouds themselves are moisture, containing 100% humidity.

What is atmospheric humidity?

Atmospheric humidity is defined as the amount of pressure of water vapor in an air to water mixture. This will be influenced by the temperature at a given time.

Atmospheric pressure readings are converted to standard atmospheric pressure to allow for comparable readings regardless of temperature elevation or humidity.?

True

Are atmospheric pressure readings converted to standard atmospheric pressure to allow for comparable readings regardless of temperature elevation or humidity?

True

Atmospheric pressure readings are converted to standard atmospheric pressure to allow for comparable readings regardless of temperature, elevation, or humidity.?

True

Why does atmospheric pressure increase with height?

The opposite is true. Atmospheric pressure decreases with altitude.

Local weather is affected by changes in?

humidity, wind, atmospheric pressure

When and why does atmospheric condensation occur?

When Relative humidity and Atmospheric pressure and a certain temperature combine to make a dew point

Will humidity increase with air pressure increase in a closed vessel?

The relative humidity in a closed vessel will not change due to pressure. Assuming water is the fluid, the relative humidity will stabilize to 100%.

As you walk down a mountainside atmospheric pressure will what?

It will increase. Atmospheric pressure decreases with altitude and increases as you move toward sea level. At sea level, atmospheric pressure = 1.0

Which describes how temperature humidity and pressure vary within an air mass?

Humidity makes the pressure in an air mass increase

What happens if humidity increase And does it affect breathing?

increase in humidity can only happen if the location is currounded by water like coastal regions or in case of heavy rainfalls ..if it rains regurlarly like in the amazon rain forests. No it doesn't affect breathing..you will sweat more ..if humidity increases. breathing is affected by reduced oxygen content or reduced atmospheric pressure.

Does pressure increase as you are increasing altitude?

No. Atmospheric pressure decreases as altitude increases.
