No, there are two different types of routers, i think there is a G type and something else most old computers work with G new ones woork with the other one, I have no idea what the difference is
It's correct, routers do not need to be connect to any computer to work. But if you want to create a network using a router you have to connect computers to it.
If you do have a wireless router on, you don't need any other computer to be on, say if you have a laptop downstairs, and a computer with the router upstairs, the computer can be off, but the router has to stay on, and you can access the internet using the laptop from downstairs, if you have a good enough signal. Hope this helps!
A "wii router" is any router you can buy from most computer stores or online.
No. You need a wireless router, though you don't necessarily need a computer.
The classic WRT54GL will indeed work with any Internet service provider, as will any router.
No, you don't.
It is fairly simple to find the router's model via the computer. Just right click on 'computer,' and go into Device Manager. From there, simply select the router and click 'properties.' This will display the router's model and any other pertinent information.
Is there any computer online using the router. If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router. If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer. router set up page is the page where you can check all the router settings. Try this web site: fixhomenetwork.com
Yes but please don't do that. Use a wireless switch or router.
Any modem type box that connects a computer to the net will work. I plug my 360 straight into my wifi router to get connected to xbox live. I didn't even need to make any settings.
Bluetooth!!!!!!!!!! Other then that, you need a router.
Mostly any type of router will work. This is for anyone that might have wanted to know
