Technically, there are no spells, at least in the modern sense, because the way magic is used is thru the intent with which you command your environment. Humans use the ancient language to reinforce this intent, but on the whole it is unneccesary. Dragons, for example, do not need words to define what they want, and yet they are able to use magic to some extent. Brom himself refers to a theoretical instance where a magician could speak the ancient language word for water and yet create an entirely unrelated object, like a gem. ___________________ If what you want are words from the Ancient Language, look in the back of any Inheritance cycle book

Eragon was trained in combat tactics by Brom and later by the elves, and he also had the advantage of using his dragon, Saphira, who could help protect him. Additionally, Eragon possessed magical abilities as a Dragon Rider, allowing him to use spells and magic to defend himself against enemies.
