"I Will Be Ready"
There is a battle raging all across the Earth
Fought by fearless souls who know what truth is worth.
The Lord is gathering an army in his name
To be the witnesses who bear the gospel flame.
I will be ready, I will be ready
To listen when he whispers to my soul.
I will live purely so I will be worthy
Prepared for when he calls for me to go.
Faithful and steady, I will be ready.
This is the time for worthy soldiers to arise.
They stand unyielding with conviction in their eyes.
The Lord is harvesting the noble and the strong
To be the laborers to move this work along.
And I will be ready.
(Onward Christian soldiers)
I will be ready
(Marching as to war.)
To listen when he whispers to my soul.
(With the cross of Jesus going on before.)
I will live purely
(Christ, our royal master)
So I will be worthy.
(Leads against the foe.)
Prepared for when he calls for me to go.
(Forward into battle, see his banners go.)
I will be ready.
(Like a might army moves the Church of God,
Brothers, we are treading where the Saints have trod.
We are not divided, all one body, we
One in hope and doctrine
One in charity.)
I promise when he
Offers to send me
Faithful and steady,
I will be ready.
Broken
Broken clouds give rain
Borken soil grows grain
Borken bread feeds man for one more day
Broken storms yield light
The break of day heals night
Broken pride turns blindness into sight
Chorus
Broken souls that need His mending
Broken hearts for offering
Could it be that God loves broken things
Broken chains set free
Broken swords bring peace
Broken walls make friends of you and me
To break the ranks of sin
To break the news of him
To put on Christ 'til His name feels broken in
Chorus
And yet, our broken faith, our broken promises
Sent love to the cross
And still, that broken flesh, that broken heart of His
Offers us such grace and mercy
Covers us with love undeserving
This broken soul that cries for mending
This broken heart for offering
I'm convinced that God loves broken me
Praise His name-my God loves broken things
So, broken cloud-give rain
And broken soil-grow grain
And broken bread-feed man for one more day
You Can Change(Lowell Alexander/Tyler Castleton)There are daysYou stumble and you fallAnd sometimes through it allYou think you'll never stand againThere are timesWhen choices weigh you downAnd bend you to the groundThat's a place that we've all been … but(Chorus)You can changeYou can turn your heart aroundA brand new start can be foundIf you'll only take one stepYou can changeWrap your mistakes in a cocoonAnd let them dieAnd emerge a butterflyYou can changeNow it's timeTo finally spread your wingsAnd soar to higher thingsYou know the limit is the skyAs you goIf you sometimes failWhen your spirit's frailRemember you were meant to fly(Chorus)You can changeWrap your mistakes in a cocoonAnd let them dieAnd emerge a butterfly
When you're trying to figure out who you are, you get teased and you get insecure. Everybody's looking over their shoulders. And try try to be just right, and you feel so off sometimes, What would you say if I told you You are what you always imagined you could be. See it. All you need is to believe it. You're already illuminated so burn bright, the world needs your light, your light, your light yeah-ah-ah. When you're stuck in the stress of the day to day, remember through your faith it's never more than you can handle. And when you keep the light from getting dim, you may not quite blend in; you are a burning example. You are what you always imagined you could be. See it. All you need is to believe it. You're already illuminated so burn bright, the world needs your light, your light, your light yeah-ah-ah. Follow the beacon that is guiding you. Feel the light that comes shining through. You are what you always imagined what you could be. See it. All you need is to believe it. You're already illuminated so burn bright, the world needs your light, your light, your light yeah-ah-ah. Enjoy :) It's such a beautiful song!

A lot of what you should bring depends on where you go for EFY. In general, it is good to bring snacks, a personal waterbottle, the "Preach My Gospel" handbook, maybe a pillow or blanket if they are not already provided, journal, scriptures, scripture markers and pens/pencils, hygiene supplies, clothes, and most importantly, a good attitude and open heart to feel the Spirit.
