Would someone who worked for Reeds for twnty five years know the answer to this question? Of course they would. Here is the answer:
Many people would be surprised to know the main ingrediant was not beef it was actually horse meat. By the way horse meat is a safe edible product. Here we go.

You’re on the right track. It was ground beef, I think some flour, Worcester salt & pepper, water. My mom worked there for years. It was slow cooked in a big slow cooker all day. If we find the recipe, I’ll let you know.
