Does axel die in Kingdom Hearts?

yes it was very sad i cried my eyes out he dies at the end of kh 2 by putting his

whole being into an attack to save sora from a horde of dusks he did this cause his

best friend roxas is sora's nobody

He dies saving Sora cause he was the closes one near by in the book roxas summons light and dark keyblade and hits him and they speak and Axel ends up in the After Life
