Many different colleges and universities provide early entrance programs for bright high school students. Examples include the early entrant program at Shimer College in Chicago (the longest-running early entrance program in the US), the Program for the Exceptionally Gifted at Mary Baldwin (girls only), and Simon's Rock (America's only college exclusively for early entrants). Requirements for these programs vary. In addition, there's "dual enrollment" for high school students who qualify for it. (Dual Enrollment - high school kids who are allowed to take classes at a local community college) Offered by the collaboration between the students' high school and local community college.
