It doesn't work. It slows down your metabolism and doesn't help you lose weight. I know- I myself am bulimic. But I'm trying to recover, and you yourself need to see a therapist. I will not CHANGE this answer, but I will make a strong point. Bulimia does work, but not for about 2 months. I myself was bulimic, but I stopped because it decayed my teeth. I would very, very, VERY strongly advice staying AWAY from bulimia, as it becomes a habit. It rots your teeth and ulcerates (holes, like an internal cold sore) your esophagus and depletes pH levels and makes your shakey and pale. You look undead, your eyes sunken, depression kicks in and you have raging mood swings. However it does make you loose wait over time. It makes your body feed off of fat cells. when it runs out of fat cells, it feeds on muscle. then when it runs out of available muscle cells, it switches to bone cells, making you vulnerable to osteoporosis and anemia. Your immune system will be nonexistent, and you will be vulnerable to any disease that happens to cross your path. It makes your hair frail and dry... Hope i steer everyone who reads this away from Bulimia Nervosa.
Bulimia is a dangerous and often deadly eating disorder. Though is may result in temporary weight loss, it is very unhealthy and comes with many dangerous and destrutcive mental and physical side effects.
It does work i have lost 20 pounds and can eat all i want
Absolutely, if you're trying to kill yourself. Bulimia can cause ulcerations of the esophagus, malnutrition, dehaydration, tooth decay due to stomach acid, digestive disorders, Heart disease and death. Sound good? What it won't do is help you lose weight effectively. If you're thinking about engaging in bulimia or are already doing it, stop and seek a qulaified counselor to help you come up with a sensible lifestyle and eating plan. Bulimia is a serious psychological disorder but it can be treated.
Anorexia is an illness that needs to be treated and eliminated. It's not a strategy for effective weight loss or optimal health. Anorexia is serious, and can have far-reaching health implications. It can even be fatal. If you think you're having some difficulties or concerns about Anorexia or diet, please talk with a parent, counselor or physician. Don't neglect this.
