Not as much as Bella thinks he will... he is more passive-aggressive about it. He figures that Bella's mother will be very unhappy about it, so he acts calm about the engagement and figures that he will let her mother freak out at Bella. (tho Bella's mother is surprisingly cool about it so it did not work)

Pensive maens deep in thought. Edwad is pensive when he reads people's minds.
New Moon is displaying the first signs of hesitation in true Love. It is explaining that Bella and Edward will always love each other, because the love that they share doesn't brake, only increases, when Edward moves away. We also see alot more of Jacob Black in New Moon, and while its Bella's time to grieve, its Jacobs time to shine. We start to realise that Jacob will play a major part in the series, especially in Bella's life. Jacob loves Bella as much as Edwad does, and because he believs that Edward will never return to Bella, he begins to hope that maybe Bella will begin to love him in the same way... obviously, this was a false hope....but eventually Jacob gets his fare share of love in Breaking Dawn...
Is The Party over already and you have no use for the answer? I would wear maybe a jacket thet looks like the one when she was in the forest and told Edwad that she knows what he is. I would chose that because that sort of reflects on their whole relationship.

There is no reliable reason to believe that Shakespeare wrote to the order of any monarch. There is an anecdote that Queen Elizabeth, after having seen Henry IV, asked Shakespeare to write a play about Falstaff in love, whereupon he wrote The Merry Wives of Windsor. This anecdote was first recorded in 1702 but if true it would not have been unheard of for a hundred years after the event. It is much more likely to be a romantic and fanciful fiction.
