no it does not it cleans the penny a bit.
cuz the soda is dark and that's how the penny gets dirty thank you
You should just soak a PENNY in CoCA CoLA.
Well both have acid. Sprite has citric acid and Pepsi Cola has phosphoric acid. However cola also has caramel, which is the brown colouring, so this may make the cleaned penny look a bit browner. I don't know the precise proportions of acids in the two drinks, as the makers keep these secret, so the best way to find your answer would be to do an experiment with two equally dirty coins.
yes because all of the chemicals in the sodas can make a compound to clean the dirty penny!
Both work but Coca Cola is the best
oxygen
i did a science project on it and all it did to the penny was stain it but i dont know because i just let it sit in the coca cola but maybe if you scrubed it with something maybe be but i tested it and it just stained it
A penny gets dirty in the first place because of being exposed to oxygen in the air, causing a chemical reaction between the copper and oxygen, which forns rust. Since water is one third oxygen, and the air only contains about 10 percent of oxygen, you can assume that water makes a penny even worse. Cola is extremely acidic, so it eats away at the dirt and rust. But if you leave it too long, it will start dissolving the penny itself.
lol throw it in some dirt idk there's 100,000 ways find one
its an acid to prove it put a penny in a cup of cola and it will come out clean x by lauren.conway
