Darkstripe idolizes and is loyal to Tigerstar, but the nature of his "love" for him is more about admiration for his power and leadership rather than genuine affection. Darkstripe's loyalty to Tigerstar drives him to support and follow him no matter what.

Darkstripe's mentor was Tigerstar. Tigerstar was a cruel and ambitious leader of ShadowClan who trained Darkstripe in his early days as an apprentice.
