There is a trace amount of formaldehyde that occurs naturally in all coffees.

The decaffeination process uses solvents, but not formaldehyde or formalin - the FDA banned its use in 1985. This may be where this rumor originated.

No it does not this was made illegal in the US in 1985, however prior to 1985 it did.
