North Korea still has a dictator.
Yes it was, and still is.
North Korea is widely considered a dictatorship by Kim Jong il who is under the title Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea who in a monarch like fashion succeeded his father Kim Il Sung who died in 1994 who still holds the title of 'Eternal President'.
State of War still exist. A Cease fire is in place.
No one exactly knows how many people are actually in North Korea. Not since the start of the communist dictatorship. Even now it is still not known. there are only rough estimates and they cannot be determined as correct as there was no accurate value to start with.
North Korea is currently testing missiles that could reach the Western United States, and has the fourth largest army in the World (1.4 million soldiers). Their whole dictatorship situation doesn't help ease the situation, either. It's also worth noting that officially the United States and North Korea are still at war. North Korea refused (and still refuses) to sign a peace agreement, basically we're at a "cease fire"
Yes, North Korea and South Korea are two different countries.
Presumably so, as North Korea is a Communist state and not a Republic ___________________________________________________________________ Republic of Korea is the official name of South Korea and North Korea is referred as Democratic People's Republic of Korea North Korea is still a republic because it is called the Democratic (yeah right) REPUBLIC of Korea
No it is not because the border is still in place
