Eggs do contain a lot of cholesterol. This means that if you are on a cholesterol diet, eggs would be a really bad thing for you to eat. However, eggs to contain lower fat and sodium levels than most other meat or dairy products, so it is still beneficial to your health if you are not concerned about a cholesterol diet.

No, not really. People used to think that eggs had high cholesterol levels, but recently new research and a better understanding on the different types of cholesterol have actually found that eggs are not as much of a concern about causing heart problems as before.

Another thing to consider is that there really is no food that is all good or bad, it really comes down to how much you eat and your overall diet.

Studies have shown that the effects on your cholesterol level of eating eggs in 'normal' quantities is neglegible. So they are safe. But eat 'em together with thick slices of fried bacon and it becomes another story. It is the foodstuffs that contain high levels of saturated fat that do the damage.
