No, you cannot get Diabetes from starch, there are two type of diabetes; 1 and 2
Type 1- you can get from eating way too much sugars in your food
Type 2- people are born with it, they cannot have anything with sugar, even chocolate!
Starch is not good for diabetic people because in the starch is glucose (sugar) which will cause your blood pressure to rise and will make them really ill.
