Every human tribe had/has its own "creation story" that evolved from an ancient time when science was not available to explain how we got here. People made up their own stories to explain the world around them and it's events. Creation stories/beliefs all revolve around some gods and goddesses giving birth, somehow, to the human race, in its present form. The Judeo-Christian creation story is that humankind was created in god's image and all humans came from a single pair only a few thousands of years ago: Adam and Eve.

Evolution defies that notion by showing that the evolution of life on earth was a slow process and that the present life forms evolved over millions of years. It is difficult to argue with the vast number of earlier human remains, some millions of years old, that now populate research facilities, universities and museum collections around the world.

Evidence supports evolution as a fact. No evidence supports any of the various religious creation myths.

Is religion a belief or a duty in ones convictions?

Every since the evolution of man with his rational mental growth-Humans have strived to delve into the mysteries on Nature in their belief and conviction to surrender in awe to the unresolved answers in abstractions of existence and creations in ones faith. This belief in ones own convictions became a duty towards oneself, the family, community, the king in ones role play in a community as religion and religious practices in rituals, customs to defy other beliefs as false. This historical stigma in the community became a mindset and refused to change when duty was misconstrued as religious obedience to the king/overrlord or to the conceited power of those in power. The break off by any community in historical time as a revolt with the beliefs of one community to the other evolved a different belief as religion --as witnessed in the evolution of Islam from the early beliefs of Moses and his followers and later Christ and his follwers in Christianity or in the evolution of other religions like Buddhism,Sikhism from Hinduism in religious convenience and expediencies.

What do creation scientists today say about the main problems in Darwins theory of evolution?

Creation scientists today argue that some of the main problems with Darwin's theory of evolution include the lack of evidence for transitional fossils, the complex structures in living organisms that seem to defy gradual accumulation through natural selection, and the origin of genetic information required for new traits to evolve. They challenge the validity of natural selection as the sole mechanism for evolutionary change.
