it could affect the behavior because the betta will look for food at the time that you fed it. So try to keep feeding time within 30 minutes.

Hi, I have studied the effects of feeding a Betta Fish at different types of the day for the last two years. I have learned that to get the best behavior out of your fish that you will want to feed it two times per day. Once in the morning(3 pellets), and once in the evening(3-4 pellets). i have had this happen lots of times whether your feeding them or not... it scares me every time... and it is with different betta fish so i think it is normal!
