YES! Formaldehyde exists in mobile homes AND in conventional site-built homes.
The California Air Resources Board's report published December 15, 2009 states:
"Nearly all homes (98%) had formaldehyde concentrations that exceeded guidelines for cancer and chronic irritation..."
Typical sources of formaldehyde are fiberglass wall insulation, laminate flooring, cabinets, plywood, particle board, MDF molding (both crown and base), MDF interior doors, closet organizers, furniture, especially the unfinished press board on backs of dressers, desks, bookcases, and drawer bottoms.
Testing is easy and inexpensive $39 including lab analysis.

Look at realty listings in your local realty papers.
Yes - compare parks before you buy a mobile. Some can be quite 'seedy', others in undesirable areas. Some have needlessly high pad rentals . The value of a home depends partly on the park it's in !
That would depend on which state or province the park is in.
I believe its the same as someone who owns an apartment building.
My mobile home is a 1981. Homes built after 1975 were subject to HUD rules and construction regulations, so are better in many ways. -Parks will allow older homes to exist if they are well kept, but will not allow pre-1975 homes to be moved into their property. Many insurance companies will not insure pre-1975 homes. Many movers will not move pre-1975 mobile homes.
Depends on the rules of the mobile home park. Many have strict rules about this.
You should have a pre-planned place to go that you can get to quickly. This can be a sturdy building, preferably with a basement, or an underground shelter. Some mobile home parks have underground storm shelters.
Look around mobile home parks, you will always find some for sale. Also it may be advantageous to look at manufacturers in your area, they often have units that are traded in .
If it's on your own lot, you are very fortunate. Most mobiles are in parks where the mobile owner pays rent.
