I think what you want to know is do you need your own copy of the DLC Zombie Maps or if you can somehow use those that are on someone else's Xbox 360 while you are playing online with them and you can not. You need to have the map in your harddrive or on your game disc to play it.

Maps can not be purchased separately. Moon is part of the Rezurrection Map Pack or DLC and is $15 and also includes the 4 revised WAW Zombie Maps. Only the PS3 PC and Xbox 360 versions of Black Ops can purchase the DLCs. Hardened and Prestige versions of Black Ops did not have to purchase the DLC but could get it free.
