No, gold mining has no positive effects on the environment.
Gold mining can be viewed as the recovery of surface gold (placer mining) or deep rock mining. In either event the recovery of the gold requires the removal and disposal of large amounts of waste rock (gangue) - both as rock and as fine taillings. These materials are often contaminated with cyanide, heavy metals and potentially Mercury from the recovery processes. Eithern as pure rock they can cover the bottoms of lakes and streams destroying the ecosystems present there.
mining can be minimised by not being done
Gold mining effects us by the gold fever many people have. ):-(
Try to use the kind of word that catches the reader's attention. For example: These are the positive effects of mining gold. Positive effects of mining gold are not too much, huh? or There are a lot of positive effects of mining gold, right?
You find gold and make lots of $.
Cyanides (NaCN or KCN) are not used in uranium mining and recovery, but it is used in gold mining.
It just does somthin and kills it like hell!;)
Makes the econmy better and resolves some war
Gold mining CAN be sustainable, but 85% or 90% of the time it isn't. Gold mining is hurting the environment badly, and it blasts away the entire mountains to unearth gold-rich ore. They blast it away with dynamite and large machines. Open-pit mining, Tunnel mining and dredging are a few ways of mining out gold. It hurt the environment because Waste Rock is around the mining area and it's too costly to move further away from the area the waste rock is in. Gold mining puts dust into the atmosphere and that's how they destroy habitats of animals. Well, that's all I have for this :P
Gold mining can have negative impacts on the environment by causing deforestation, soil erosion, and contamination of water sources with toxic chemicals like cyanide and mercury. Unregulated mining practices can also lead to habitat destruction and loss of biodiversity. Improper disposal of mining waste can further contribute to water and soil pollution.
They took gold mining from the Earth? Who took the gold mining and how? There's no more gold mining on Earth? What's up with that?
Industrialization: make South Africa to have many industries to support mining like for mecury, dynamite and cyanide
