Yes. The less haemoglobin you have, the paler your skin appears. (Relative to how you skin normally appears. For example, it is not necessarily true that a natural redhead with pale skin has less haemoglobin than a brunette. Colour of skin should be examined relative to how the patient usually appears when healthy.)
