Helium is a noble gas and it is chemically stable. It does not have valence electrons to form bonds.
Helium is an element. It is a chemical element with the symbol He and atomic number 2. Helium exists as individual helium atoms, not molecules.
consists of two protons and two neutrons (ionized helium, He2+)
If one electron has been removed from Helium's electron shell then it is a He+ ion. If both of its electrons have been removed it becomes a He2+ ion. Either way they are both positive ions.
There is no word equation, except that helium will exist as liquid phase in liquid helium
He2 does NOT exist, Helium is a noble gas and a mono-atomic elementary gas (He)
Helium exists in the form of He and not He2 because He has already stable, does not take part in a chemical reaction. But when one atom combines with other atom in a chemical reaction to form bond to complete its outermost shell and attain stabilty while He does not combine with other atom to form bond. This is the reason for helium does not exist in the form He2 or molecule form

He2 does not exist. MO theory predicts a bond order of zero.

Alpha rays are helium ions, He2+.
consists of two protons and two neutrons (ionized helium, He2+)
1-alpha rays made up of particles, which are helium nuclie. they carry 2+ charge i.e (He2+)

he2 is a fatty. He atom is a inert gas. so it can not react with any other atom or molecules to form any compounds.so He2 can't exist. ANOTHER ANSWER: Helium atom has only one shell i-e K-shell which can accommodate a maximum of two electrons which it already has. therefore Helium atom does not need any more electrons to become stable as it is already stable by duplet rule. Thus helium atom does not combine with another helium atom and hence exists as He and not He2.
The reaction in the sun which gives us energy involves helium. If helium didn't exist we would receive no energy and life wouldn't exist on the earth.
Noble gas, a very un-reactive one. But it can form some salts containing He2+2 , HeH+ , FHeO- , ions.
