Might do. Depends on the size of the pot hole, your tires and on how fast/hard you hit it.
Shocks
A loud thumping noise coming from near the tire after hitting a pot hole could mean there is damage to the rotor. A mechanic may need to look at the vehicle to diagnose the exact issue.
Check for a broken shock.
A "pot hole" sinks in like a pot... The sky has a hole in it per say... It's called the hole in the ozone layer...
Hitting something like a pot hole or a curb. anything that jars the wheels of the car. Or just normal wear and tear. alignment is recommended at least once every two years regardless of hitting anything.

Answer Car tire rims don't bend easily. I'd say that if your rim is bent you might have hit a rather large pot hole or perhaps someone else who drives your car could have run it against the curb at a pretty good speed as the tire has to almost collaspe before hitting the rim. Might want to keep an eye on potholes.
