There are two drug testing regimens a soldier could be run through.
The first is the test for illegal drugs, and that's the standard "SAMSHA-5"--pot, opiates, amphetamines, cocaine and PCP--plus two more drugs from a list of 35. The two additional drugs change from day to day. All soldiers are tested at least once a year. This test regimen won't show HGH.
The other is the steroids test, which is mostly given for "reasonable suspicion," although some units like the 3rd Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) are all tested. The test is expensive and is run at the US Olympic Committee's drug lab. This test WILL detect HGH.
So the answer is, yes if you get the right test but you probably won't.
