Throughout the Invisalign treatment there are many different "trays" or sets of the plastic molds that you go through. Each tray is a little straighter than the last. For the first day or so of a new tray, it's really tight and uncomfortable, so yes, they hurt. But after your teeth adjust (which doesn't take long) you can barely tell you're wearing them!

Although you don't have to deal with the unsightliness of braces, sometimes the old fashioned braces are better at remedying severe cases of tooth misalignment.
