Running a room with the a/c on is not harmful to the system. In fact, it is a good way of saving energy. Most window or wall a/c's units have a dial or some other feature that opens a small trap door that lets air from outside be exchanged with stale air inside a room. One thing you must remember is that a fan cools a person not a room. Personally, we have a central a/c and keep a window in the bedroom open about 1/2 inch so air can circulate and not get stagnate. This also applies in the winter because it is one way to eliminate radon from building up.
yes
Hard to say it really depends on your home. One thing it will do if you have a filtration system in your furnace will ensure you have cleaner air blowing through the house.
No, a whole house fan is not the same as central air conditioning. A whole house fan works by drawing in cooler outdoor air through open windows and exhausting warmer indoor air, effectively ventilating the home. In contrast, central air conditioning uses a closed system to cool and dehumidify indoor air, circulating it through ductwork. While both can help regulate indoor temperatures, they operate on different principles and are used in different contexts.
Depends on the outdoor temp. If it's 75 outside, your system should easily bring your house down to the 68 degree setpoint. If it's 100 degrees outside, you'll never get there. Unless, that is, your system is too big for your home. Then it will cool you down just fine, but you'll have humidity problems...that's a whole other discussion. Most central air conditioning units are designed to maintain a 75 degree indoor temp at 55% relative humidity on a 95 degree day. So a indoor/outdoor temperature difference of about 20 degrees or so is what you should expect.
Houses need insulation to keep indoor temperature manageable. Without it, the heat or cool air conditioning a home owner puts inside will not be contained.

Usually there is a leak somewhere in the system.
To add air conditioning to your house, you can hire a professional HVAC contractor to install a central air conditioning system. This involves selecting the right size unit for your home, installing ductwork if needed, and connecting the system to your existing heating system or installing a separate system. It is important to consider factors such as energy efficiency, cost, and maintenance when choosing an air conditioning system for your home.
Installing a split air conditioning system in your home offers benefits such as energy efficiency, quiet operation, improved air quality, and the ability to control temperatures in individual rooms.
A heat-pump is the most cost effective air conditioning system. It will maintain the temperature in your home while expending the least amount of energy.
To maintain and clean mobile home air conditioning ductwork, it is recommended to regularly change air filters, inspect for leaks or damage, clean ducts with a vacuum or brush, and schedule professional duct cleaning every few years. This helps improve air quality and efficiency of the system.
It is a vital part of the system as it is where the air from the supply registers goes. It's the circulation that enables you to have a cool home.
The best brand of air conditioning system for you depends on a variety of factors. For example, do you live in an apartment or do you own your own home? Do you have any allergies that would require a special filter? An air conditioning system should be purchased with these questions in mind.
Portable air conditioning is great for work or any place where you have different preferences than other people. It would not, however, be a good replacement for a home air conditioning system.
I would say NO.. I wouldn't drink it..
