If you're talking about body temp. that is below the normal level at 98.6.
Although 98.6 has long been set as the "normal" body temperature, body temp can fluctuate yet still be within normal range for that person. For example, one person may consistently run 97.6 and be okay. Another person may feel very feverish with a temp of 99.0, just 0.10 higher than "normal". However, body temp below 96 requires medical intervention.
98.6 is the normal temp... 99.6 is a bit high.
