Does killing everyone execute them

Not exactly. The definition of execute is to 'carry out' or 'follow through', usually an official order of some kind. Another way to look at it is a legal homicide. But there are many different levels of killing another. From second degree manslaughter to capital murder which may carry the penalty of death. If that happens the guilty will then be executed. A crime of passion such as a jealous spouse in a sudden fit of anger may kill the partner but the circumstances and motivations are polar opposites. Human emotions, and their effects are never simple.
