in the first book of the clique Claire comes to massies house from Florida to live in their guest house. Massie does not like Claire because she wears keds and wears ugly clothes that are not desighner. Massie is also mad at her parents for not letting her go to the party she wanted to go to instead she had to go meet Claire. Massie and her friends are very mean to Claire and don't let her hang out with them. In the clique prequel their all in fourth grade and they go to a party on new years that's where the clique started because they all me tat the party

At the end of the movie when Claire saves Massie from potential humiliation at the OCD auction Claire asks Massie why she has been making her life miserable for the past few weeks. Massie replies to Claire that she felt Claire was a "threat" to her. Massie pointed out to Claire how easily her friends dumped her for Claire. hehe this book was great.. I'm 12 BTW. anyways it was about a girl name Massie ( shes rich) and shes going to 7th grade and her father William is having friends (the Lyons family) stay over until they can find a new home. The Lyons have a daughter name Claire and shes not so rich. When Claire comes and Massie sees Clarie's ugly clothes she hates her! She is so NOT Clique material. Massie and her rich friends Dylan ( kiss up), Alicia ( sneaky & beautiful), and Kristen (the smart one that can make you cry faster than you can say : "your hair cut is ugly") don't like Claire either. They are always making fun of Claire's clothes, shoes, and hair. As time goes by Massie starts feeling bad for Claire and as they start getting close their friendship is coming together P.S. the book said B!t# like 4 times loll its an amzing book!

Massie and her friends 'lie' in the weeds, waiting for the perfect oppurtunity to get Alicia back. Invasion of the Boy Snatchers: Nina steals everyone's boyfriends. The Pretty Committee strikes back: Claire lies and tells everyone that some blood-stained underwear is Alicia's, when it was really Layne's. Dial L for Loser: Massie and Alicia embarrass Claire on National TV, and Claire gets them back by treating them like nobodies. It's not Easy being Mean: Massie is continually mean to Claire (probably due to jealousy), and Claire is kicked out of the PC, but Claire blackmails herself back in. Sealed with a Diss: Derrington talks about Massie behind her back, and Claire finds out Cam has been re-gifting all her gifts. Bratfest at Tiffany's: Alicia goes behind the PC's back to go out with Josh, even though they are on a strict boyfast. P.S. I Loathe you: Derrington cheats on Massie with Dylan. Alicia leaves the PC cheerleading squad to start one of her own. Boys R Us: Dempsey cheats on Massie with Kristen. Massie buys friends from a theatre company to make her old friends jealous. These boots are made for stalking: Massie threatens to kick Claire out of the PC unless she dumps Cam for a ninth-grader. Sort of......there is nothing wrong with not fitting into any cliques. Like Claire she didn't fit in the clique at first but then massie let her in the 3rd or 4th book. And everyone doesn't always have a friend at first but everyone will always find one!
