Volume is simply a way of measuring stuff in an x ammount of pressure.
You can measure the density of something which will remain the same no matter what, the size of the object can change but the ammount of particles will always stay the same.
If I were to measure the volume of pint of water it would measure 1pint and it would fill a pint glass. If I were to throw the water into a black hole the water would still contain the same ammount of matter but it would fit into a cup a million times smaller than a pin head.
matter having no definite volume and no definite shape is a liquid
The state of matter that has definite shape and definite volume is called solid.
The state of matter with a definite volume but no definite shape is called a liquid.
There are two states of matter that has no definite volume or shape. They are a gas and plasma. Solid matter has a definite shape and volume.
The state of matter having a definite volume but no definite shape is liquid.
A state of matter having definite volume but no definite shape is called, "liquid".
That would be gas. Liquids have no definite shape but definite volume, and solids have definite shape and definite volume. :)
Yes it has neither.
A solid has a definite shape and definite volume.
matter having no definite volume and no definite shape is a liquid
A solid has a definite shape and definite volume.
Matter that has a definite volume and a definite mass is... a SOLID. So any solid will be a correct answer to your question.
