They are found because they have to bring oxygen and nutrients from the veins and arteries to all of the cells. They remove waste (carbon dioxide) from the cells and drop it off at the lungs. Therefore, that's when breathing occurs and the cells get oxygen and do the cycle over and over.

What is the function of the capillaries in the dermis?

Every cell in your body has a capillary run by it. This capillary delivers nutrients and oxygen and removes waste and carbon dioxide.

Which nutrient is required for nearly every chemical reaction in every cell in your body?

Water is needed for nearly every chemical reaction in body cells.

Does nearly every cell in your body have complete sets of DNA?

True

Where do nucleic acids go in the body?

They are the components that form your DNA, in the nucleus of nearly every cell of your body

Where in the body does blood lose oxygen as it passes?

The blood losses O2 in the capillary beds that supply every cell in the body (exept the gas exchange cells in the lungs)

Why does a plant need to conduct water?

Water needs to reach every cell in the plant- in a similar way to our blood needing to reach every cell in our body. capillary action draws water up the plant stem, and into the smaller channels in the leafs.

What is the function of the capillary muscle?

The only muscle that is a functional part of the capillary system are part of the pre-capillary sphincters. It is smooth muscle encircling the arterial end of a capillary and controls the blood flow. Not every cell is getting blood at every second for seconds at a time capillary can be shut of to direct blood to other parts of the tissue that need it.

How does gas exchange happen in capillary blood vessels?

It is because the capillary wall is only one-cell-thick. In addition, they have a large total surface area in contact with body cell and the blood flow is low.

From what does capillary cell wall receives blood?

The capillary cell wall receives blood from the interstitial fluid.
