Most noodles are made of some kind of wheat (or similar) flour. There are lesser varieties made from rice and one or two other staples, but they are not so common.

The main ingredient, noodles, are full of carbs, so yes.
Rice noodles are very similar in taste, appearance and texture as cellophane (bean) noodles. BUT cellophane noodles have almost 3 times the carbohydrates, more than twice the calories, and less protein. So for the health conscious, I would stick to rice noodles unless you are lifting some serious weights, or running marathons.
For energy carbohydrates are the best, they're in things like noodles and breads.
Yes, and yes. Weight gain is cause by insulin. Insulin is caused by refined carbohydrates. They don't offer brown rice.
Noodles are not a good source of carbohydrates! THEY ARE THE WORST SOURCE OF CARBOHYDRATES especially if you are trying to cut down your body fat. They are simply sugars which have been highly processed and left devoid of nutrients. They will be absorbed really fast into your bloodstream causing your insulin to spike which consequently results in more storage of fat. Also they are really high in fat- of the worst kind. Not essential fats. Hydrogenated fats are your body's worst enemy. So noodles are a bad source of carbohydrates. Try more nutrient dense source of carbohydrates like brown rice, 100% natural oats, yams or sweet potatoes. These do not just simply fill you up but are very nutrient dense. They are your friends when it comes to fat loss. I would not recommend for anybody to eat noodles unless they were starving and noodles were the only thing around. Or if you do like them eat them only occasionally as a treat
Diabetics can eat noodles and any other carbohydrate-rich food. The type of carbohydrates you eat aren't as important as the amount of carbohydrates you eat and your total caloric intake, says the American Diabetes Association. Eating excessive amounts of carbohydrates may make you gain weight and raise your blood glucose level, which can increase the complications of diabetes. However, if you eat moderate portions of noodles as part of a balanced diet, you can enjoy them without worrying about their effect on your health.
