To become a veteran, you have to have served in the military. In today's military, a high school diploma or equivalency is required.
They don't have to do any years. A veteran is a person who has served in the military and college isn't required. If they want a profession they do need to attend college to get the degree appropriate for the profession.

yes they do all you have to do is say you are a veteran well at lease in ohio. My store in Atlanta, GA gives 10% on everything all the time. You need proof that you are a vet or active or retired military. Georgia issues a veteran's driver's license that works.
