Personally, I think so. If a teen is put under pressure by friends and or people there age to do things such as smoking i think they're decision can be seriously effected by it. For example, If a teen is asked to start smoking , or asked if they want a cigarette, then they might feel that if they say no they wont be accepted. They may feel "uncool" or "different". And with children this age all they want is to be accepted by their peers. It's a really difficult time for them so they should try to surround themselves with good friends who don't pressure them into doing anything they might not of done, had they not suggested it.
